Q: wrong clutch pedal stays at bottom of floor doesn't come up?
Answer : one of two possibilities. check master clutch cylinder container to see if fluid all leaked out. if has, chances are, either master or slave cylinder need to be replaced. a mechanic fixed mine and wrote on repair workup replaced master clutch cylinder, however upon subsequent investigation, discovered actually replaced slave cylinder, refilled with dot fluid and rebled cylinder. fixed problem described for me, on a 97 honda accord. fixed a 2003 accord and i'm fairly sure all hondas use hydraulic clutches. stepped on clutch see clutch lever depress fully and then slowly move back as pressure bleed off. replaced slave cylinder first (it easy to get too) and improved little but then to replace master cylinder to reallly fix it. usually slave cylinders fail first because operate at higher pressure than master. really helps to have a pressurized bleeder because line from master to slave goes up and across back of engine (i think bought mine of ebay) make bleeding all hydraulic systems a one man, fool proof job. also some mechanics have bad results with nonhonda parts. answer 2 above answerer correct. however, another problem cause a clutch pedal to stay down clutch burned out. happened to me a nissan 300zx clutch burned out. two days prior driving and pedal sunk to floor but there still some clutch left. after clutch not disengage anymore and to get fixed. before replacing anything bleed clutch system. wrong with mine. hydraulic or cable? above answers may be correct but assume have a hydraulic clutch. there two types of clutch assemblies, hydraulic clutch aseembly and a cable clutch assembly, if have a cable clutch assembly may be as easy as replacing clutch cable. mine recently broke, made a loud pop tried to shift into gear, took foot off pedal laid on floor. have yet to figure out to replace though, a european spec volvo with little info on on internet.

Q: leave overdrive on toyota camry?
Answer : answer ignore previous answer!!!!! yes, must leave overdrive in on position in car and why: transmission comes with a total of 4 gears including overdrive. releasing overdrive only restricts transmission to a 3 gear transmission and therefore not give extra power by turning on (contrary to popular belief). manufacture reccomends leaving overdrive on for best fuel econimy and performance. downshifting to second gear again restricts transmission to a 2 gear transmission (and therefore not only 2nd gear) and again downshifting to 1st gear restricts transmission to only one gear or 1st gear. previous answer wrong. l8r. - ahears.not if want to get best life out of engine and transmission. transmission set up to shift into overdrive whenever possible, to maximize e.p.a. fuel ratings. however, results in engine revolutions per minute being too low for most driving conditions, leads to carbon deposits in cylinders, and excessive unburned fuel having to be processed by environmental controls system. in city, on in hilly terrain, turn overdrive off. cruising on freeway, turn on.

Q: 4-cylinder 1990 toyota camry dx not getting good gas millege smart to switch to a higher octane gas and best time to this?
Answer : dont waste moneyhigher octane not going to help, it's only for high compression engines to prevent pre-ignition (knock). try a tune up. new fuel filter, air filter spark plugs and wires, pcv valve and a bottle of good fuel injector cleaner add first to gas tank then fill up with gas (techron a good option for this). only situation higher octane help with an engine not requiring if there heavy carbon buildup in cylinders causing pre-ignition and even than it's a temporary fix until be properly cleaned. ________________________________________________________________ agree completely. however, even if don't have a check engine light test oxygen(o2) sensors if handy like that. start to fail without computer knowing by sending erroneous voltages back to computer. be wrong but still within range so computer no idea getting bad information. if replace oxygen sensors must use proper denso sensors. if use bosch or some brand regret it. either fail immediately or give same condition before by giving computer inaccurate information.

Q: access expansion valve on a 1987 toyota pickup?
Answer : replacing expansion valve on toyota p.u.the expansion valve located in and with evaporator, inside evaporator case. case a somewhat square, plastic enclosure located directly behind glove box on vehicle. replacing expansion valve requires removing glovebox and brace in front of it, disconnecting all wiring attached to blower housing (located next to evaporator case, disconnecting hoses attached on engine side of firewall, removing several (10mm) bolts/screws hold evaporator case to firewall and ultimately, removing evaporator case from vehicle. once done, case held together by several philips screws and one or two clips. always 'backup' wrenches removing a valve so as not to rip liquid line or suction line off and always clean mating area of capillary tube and wrap with new tacky tape. don't foget to use new o-rings lubed lightly with refrigeration oil. important to remember to discharge system before procedure using approved recovery/recycling equipment or have done by a qualified technician. also important to note if replacing valve because restricted or exhibiting intermittent closure (which only logical reasons to so, [unless have somehow determined valve itself leaking {very rare for actual valve of type, likely o-rings have corrosive build-up}]) definitely want to remove receiver drier (the system filter), flush system using approved flush method(s) and chemicals and replace drier with a new one. after all, if valve stopped up or acting up, there must be trash in system, and if not flush and replace drier, be doing again in near future! remember not to open drier or install until ready to close system as drier contains dessicant material absorb moisture from atmosphere and be ruined. also, be sure to replace any (refrigeration) oil lost during procedure, plus about 1.5 additional ounces. must also be informed that, as a possible consequence of a restricted expansion valve a system been run for any length of time, there always possibility of a compressor problem (locking up) at some point in future (from oil starvation). before introducing refrigerant to system, system must be 'evacuated' (vacuumed to have air removed). air in system causes corrosive build-up and acids lead to evaporator core and aluminum part leaks. check label on vehicle for proper refrigerant charge. likely somewhere around 32 ounces (r12 type refrigerant. and proper oil 525 viscosity mineral). if system been (properly) converted to r134a, use pag i, or low viscsity (46 weight) oil and about 10 ounces less than r12 charge (if been properly converted. illegal to mix refrigerants and all refrigerants than r12 and r134a not approved by both epa and care manufacturers and some may containg flammable substance [illegal in all states]). good luck and let us know make out. sdi

Q: be causing a rattling noise and sway in rear of a 1995 toyota camry?
Answer : possibly sway bar bushings. replaced mine on 94 and doing exactly as describe. really not to replace. there a bolt at each end needs to come off and replace it. went to junk yard and picked up two off a car with low mileage and bushings in good shape. usually back sway bars need replaced. there two on each side. try this, jack up car and grab tire at 3:00 and 9:00 (right and left) and see if the wheel moves from side to side. have someone else while look at bushing at end of sway bar and see move if bad. if sway bar good then be solid try to move tire from side to side. only problem changed mine on inner end of sway bar. have to hold end of bolt while loosen nut and head of bolt in a little like cup and there not enough room for a socket and rachet and a wrench not fit in either. bent edge of gas tank up slightly till got a socket in to hold it.

Answer : side mirrorselectric, cable operated, or manual? in any case remove driver side door panel, on inside of car in fender side corner mirror mounts, either have a small phillips screw holding mirror backin on, or may have plastic tabs, and be gently popped off using a flat blade screwdriver. once door panel, and inside mirror mount cover removed, see three 10mm nuts, arranged in a triangular pattern behind inside mirror cover. if mirror electric, after removing three 10mm nuts and slowing pulling mirror off on outside, see wiring connector for mirror, unsnap tab and remove mirror. on a note occasionally may be easier to undo mirror if window glass all way down. if mirror manual, remove three 10mm nuts and remove mirror. if a cable operated mirror, with "joystick" to adjust on inside, once three 10mm nuts removed, on inside portion of inside back of mirror, "joystick" held to back cover by a small metric allen screw, with right sized allen loosen screw, but not all way out. after it's loosened sufficiently "joystick" assembly slide right out of cavity it's in. be careful removing mirrors, often times there a rubber grommet any wiring or "joystick" slips through.
