(i actually upgraded by replacing sealed assemblies altogether with a bulb conversion kit. to see did this, visit www.blazerforum.com and run a search on name, psychropod.) must remove grille. sounds complicated, but it's really not. in only a minutes. first, pop open hood. there six bolts: four across top, and two in middle, like (each x represents a bolt location). two middle ones a little hard to find, but look directly above and below chevy "bowtie" emblem and you'll see them. x------x------ x-------x ------------x------------ <<<< grille ------------x------------ -------------------------- sorry about crude diagram, but can't insert pix here. remove six bolts, then grille pop right out. be careful popping out, because each corner light wires attached, and don't want to damage these. after gently setting grille down onto bumper, then twist each corner bulb assembly out of grille, then pop out old bulb and pop in new one. then gently put each bulb assembly back into grille, pop grille back on, tighten bolts, and you're done. simple! :-)

Answer : answer-first take out battery, then take out battery holder. disconnect cruise control that's under battery holder if car cruise control. disconnect all wires leading to starter and then take out bolts hold in starter. take out old starter and replace with new starter, reversing procedure. a person with a class c mechanical aptitude with. quite easy. take about .9 hours to or a little over an hour for shadetree mechanic. good luck. one help with. first, get all extensions lay hands on. need about 3 feet plus of socket extensions. disconnect ground to battery. next to make things easier, remove front passenger tire. be sure to put a jackstand in place. scope things out a bit first so jackstand placement not get in way of removing rear starter bolt. take out rubber splash guard or at least undo from one end so out of way. there an access port held by 4 bolts(glorified machine screws). remove them and take out port. there one bolt facing toward front of vehicle and one bolt facing back secure starter to motor and have to thread socket extensions in for a long way to get to them. undo electrical connections on starter, remove supporting bolts and carefully work starter out through limited space. really come out. now, before spend a fortune on a new starter, check out contacts in solenoid on starter. a new kit be purchased for a whole lot less and normally fix starter. sorry don't have any photos. don't necessarily have to buy a new starter, actually buy a rebuild kit and it's way cheaper. problem with most of starters deals with copper contact tabs inside starter, over time wear out and be replaced with kit (just ask for at dealer, or automotive parts store). follow same instructions provided above and steps to break down starter be provided with kit. it's really simple and don't need experience to it.
