Hadoop Version across all Nodes -

does version , installation location of hadoop have exact same across nodes in cluster? example, if have hadoop-0.18.2 on master node in /usr/local/hadoop version , installation directory have same across data nodes? please need answer @ earliest. thank you.

yes have identical otherwise encounter major issues.
