stocktwits - Differentiating between username and userid in widget -

i'm noticing issues widgets displaying wrong data users username starts number. widget looks treating them if user id.

is there way differentiate when using username on user id?

the user parameter can either username or id. @ least should. correct numbers of username getting confused. fix issue , report back. pointing out.
